Funny New Year quotes and jokes

A friend asks his friend for a cigarette.
His friend says, "I think you made a New Year resolution to quit smoking".
The man says, " I am in the process of quitting". Right now, I am in the middle of phase one.
What's phase one?
''I've quit buying.''

You know its time for a New Year's Resolution to Lose Weight when you step on a talking scale and it says, "One at a time, please!"

"An optimist stays up until midnight to see the New Year in.
A pessimist stays up to make sure the old year leaves."
~Bill Vaughn~

''I'm gonna order a pizza 5 minutes before the New Year and when they arrive I'll say I ordered this
damn pizza a year ago!''  :-)
~Unknown~

''Many people look forward to the New Year for a new start on old habits. ''

Last minute Christmas decorating ideas

Do you need last minute Christmast decorating ideas?
If you've left it too late to buy Christmas decorations don't panic, because you already have this stuff in or around your house.
To make this a success you’ll need your imagination and creativity.

Here are a few ideas to get you started…

Ribbons can add instant festive touches throughout your home. Huge, festive bows add a new look.
Tie ribbons to backs of chairs, on the door knob or to other pieces of furniture.

Bring in some pine cones and spray paint them in silver or gold. You can then dust them with a bit of glitter and cluster them in a fancy vase to use as a centrepiece.
You can also cover the pine cone in glue and roll it in silver or gold glitter.

Pretty bows, and a few Christmas ornaments, are all you need to dress up your staircase and brighten your entryway. A Christmas themed stairway runner or just simple red stairway runner will add color to your house and also helps protect the stairs.

There are plenty of things around your house that you can use, just don't be afraid to experiment.

Have a lovely Christmas everyone!

Christmas decorating ideas for small spaces

Last week I was helping my boyfriend decorating his workplace.
It is a small place and there's not much space to display decorations.
But ... there's always a way out.
I used some of his see-through containers and put inside Christmas ornaments. We also wanted to put Christmas lights, but we couldn't displayed them where we wanted, because they were too short.
So I put Christmas lights in a clear glass jar and use it as a lamp. Christmas lights bring a festive atmosphere to the celebration of the Christmas season.

Also, if you have canned snow, you can just decorate a couple of windows by covering them with the snow. The canned snow is available in different holiday colors.

Have fun decorating!  :-)
